Ever dreamed of being a cowboy or cowgirl? Enjoying the freedom of riding the range under an open blue sky herding cattle or horses?

Spend the day doing just that on the traditional Costa Rican ranch of Hacienda Guachipelin, located in the heart of Guanacaste at the foot of Rincón de la Vieja Volcano. In the company of their authentic Sabañeros Guanacastecos (Guanacaste cowboys), you will help out with that day’s chores on the ranch. Some of the activities you may do include working in the stables and corrals, milking the cows, saddling and readying the horses, herding cattle or horses, checking cattle in the far pastures, fixing fences, etc. A picnic lunch is included in the tour.

Tours are guided by experienced ranch cowboys. All tour participants must wear riding helmets. We recommend using closed-toe shoes, long pants, and sunscreen.
